A Compilation of Canada’s Best Harp Players

I don’t know exactly who is playing what on this recording, but here is a compilation of harp players doing their thing at the Silver Dollar Room in Toronto back in May, 2010. If the comments are accurate, this recording includes Raoul Bhaneja, Doctor Nick Ouroumov, Mark “Bird” Staford, Aarron Kazmer, Mr. Rick Zolkower, Tortoise Blue, Jake Chishom, Chris Whiteley,David Rotundo, Darren Gallen,Tom Bona, Terry Wilkins, Jake Chisholm, and Julian Fauth performing songs from a tribute album to Little Walter called Blue Midnight: a Tribute to Little Walter.  I’m not sure everyone in that list is necessarily a harp player, but these musicians are awesomely talented and I am thrilled to find that there are so many high caliber harmonicists in the Toronto Area! (or at least, there were… anyone know the current whereabouts of these guys and gals?)  Sit back and have a listen to some fantastic blues harmonica!
