Morning harmonica joy…

One of the things I look forward to most when I get out of bed every morning is the few minutes I will get to play the harmonica on the subway platform as I await my train.  It has become my morning routine.  I go down to the platform and duck out of sight in the elevator nook and play whatever happens to be on my mind.  Some mornings it’s a nice chuggy little blues number, some mornings it’s a haunting melody in harmonic minor.  Either way, I always make a few of the people waiting for that early morning train smile.  The greatest compliment I get, though, is when someone takes out their ear buds to listen.  I love giving people a happy piece of reality to drown out the technology for a few minutes.
